1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
2. Subscription and Payments
2.1 Subscription Overview
- The App offers a Monthly and Annual subscription to remove ads and unlock premium features.
- Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis until canceled.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time, there are no refunds for subscription fees for any reason.
2.2 Payment Processing
- Payments are processed through the App Store.
- By subscribing, you authorize the applicable store to charge your chosen payment method.
2.3 Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings.
- Subscription fees are non-refundable.
2.4 Changes to Pricing
- We reserve the right to modify subscription fees, with prior notice provided to you through the App or associated stores.
3. Use of the App
3.1 License Grant
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
3.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data.
4. Data Sources and Information Accuracy
- We use publicly available food product data from Open Food Facts, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). This data is provided by third parties and community contributors.
- Some data is sourced from Open Food Facts under the Open Database License (ODbL) and other publicly available sources.
- While we aim for accuracy, we cannot guarantee the completeness, correctness, or timeliness of third-party information.
- Food product information, ingredients, nutritional data, and product images may be outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate.
- We do not verify product images, brand claims, or manufacturer statements.
- Users should always verify product information by reading actual product labels and consulting with manufacturers or official brand resources when necessary.
- The presence of brand names, trademarks, or logos in the App is for identification purposes only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
5. Camera Usage and Image Processing
- The App uses your device's camera solely for barcode scanning functionality to identify food products.
- Images captured during barcode scanning are processed locally on your device and are not stored, transmitted, or sent to our servers or any third parties.
- Camera access is used exclusively for barcode recognition and no image data is retained after processing.
6. Health and Safety Disclaimer
- NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE: This app is intended for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

- Our ingredient and additive safety ratings are based on a custom evaluation system derived from publicly available sources and independent research.
- Some ingredient ratings are informed by public advocacy research, including but not limited to reports from organizations such as the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). This app is not affiliated with CSPI or any other organization.
- Additive summaries and ingredient ratings are opinions provided by the app to help users understand potential risks. Terms such as “Safe,” “Be Mindful,” “Caution,” and “Avoid” describe the additive’s safety level but do not constitute judgments on the product’s overall healthiness or suitability for consumption.
- The ratings do not account for individual factors such as quantity consumed, frequency of use, or personal health conditions. They are not medical advice and should not replace consultation with healthcare professionals.
- Our ratings and recommendations aim to increase user awareness of product composition and are not intended to promote or prohibit any product.
- Our ratings are not a substitute for professional guidance from healthcare providers, nutritionists, or regulatory authorities.
- Rating methodologies may change over time as new research becomes available or evaluation criteria are updated.
8. Advertisements and Third-Party Links
- The free version of the App contains advertisements.
- We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party ads or links provided within the App.

All content, features, and functionality in the App (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and code) are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including but not limited to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- We make no guarantees regarding the completeness, reliability, accuracy, or timeliness of the information presented in the App.
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
11. Limitation of Liability
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to health-related decisions or outcomes.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the subscription during the last billing cycle, or $100, whichever is less.
- We disclaim all liability for any adverse health effects, allergic reactions, or medical complications that may result from reliance on app information.
- We are not responsible for decisions made based on ingredient ratings, product information, or any content within the App.
- Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

13. Termination
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.
